Back to Brands Hatch for Aleksander

-After a little summer break, British GT returned to Britain again for the penultimate race in the GT series.

Brands Hatch was on the schedule for next event, and this meant another new track for Aleksander. Although he had been driving the indy circuit before, the GP circuit(long figuration) was much more!

The weekend started of pretty good for the Norwegian, and showed good pace during the test sessions. Morten who is sharing the car with Aleksander was also on a good pace.

In qualifying Aleksander hit some oil on the track, which destroyed his qualifying run. Morten did a great job, and the duo ended up starting from 7th on grid.

Aleksander where starting the two-hour race, and had a good start, fighting for 3rd and 2nd for a long while, and when he came in to pit they where 2nd.
Morten got out and did a great job holding of the opponents. But with 6 minutes to go, something broke in the front suspension. They lost a lot of time on the track, but managed to get the car over the finish line in 5th. A great job by the whole Century Motorsport team, despite the technical issue.

-“A really demanding race, and what a great circuit. All in all i am really happy with the weekend. The team did a brilliant job giving us a close to perfect racecar, so we could push the times down all weekend long. Both Morten and myself showed that we got the pace to fight for the podium again.

Off course it is frustrating ending up 5th after we where running 3rd for that long, but thats racing. Now we will focus on putting everything in to the last race at Donington, and we will be up there fighting in the top again and give the team another podium in the end of the season. ”
