Silverstone 500

British GT returned to Silverstone this weekend, for the Silverstone 500.

40 cars was on the grid, ready for three hours of hard racing. On the grid as the only norwegian driver was Aleksander Schjerpen. Aleks is racing for Century Motorsport in a Ginetta G55 GT4.

Aleks is sharing the car with Morten Dons from Denmark. The duo had never raced at the track before, and started the weekends testing with finding a good rytm and a setup on the car. The qualifying was more like a test as they still had to adjust the car. Finally Morten and Aleks qualified 8th on the grid.

Aleks started the race, and they where going to race ca. 45 mins each. Aleks drove himself up to 3rd place, before the first pitstop. And after three hours they finally got the car home in 5th, bringing home some valuable points for both the drivers championship and the team championship.

-“We are now looking forward to the race at Snetterton, and I think we will be even stronger there”.-Aleks
