ATS-Racing driver Aleksander Schjerpen is set to race in the German VLN Series this weekend.
The race is at the famous Nürburgring-Nordschleife located near the village of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate. The track is over 25km long, and it is one of the most famous tracks in the world.
Aleks will compete in the “Opel 6 Stunden ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen” driving in a Honda Civic Type R racing car. This is not a race in the GT series we originally race in, and Aleks will be racing a different car than our Ginetta G50 GT4. The race is a six hours race, so he will share the car with two other drivers.
-“I think it will be exiting, I’ve driven on the Nürburgring a few times before, and it is always good fun to be back at the famous track. We are still keeping focus on the GT Championship, this will simply be good driving practice for me” -Aleks
