Race weekend in Norway

Only one week after the race in the GT4 series in Sweden, we went off to Rudskogen in Norway for the second round of the Norwegian GT series.

This will be one of the last races in Norway for ATS-Racing team this season. The weekend started with practice sessions on friday. After a lot of problems with the timetable and logistic at the racetrack, our track time was minimal, we did not get the test runs we wanted.

On Saturday it was ready for qualifying and race 1. After failing to get the track time needed on friday, we went out with a set up from last season at the track. Qualifying did not go as planned, and we did not find enough pace to get pole position. In race 1 we started from 3rd place on the grid, and after a little driver error we came home 4th in the race.

After a lot of delays on the track on Sunday, race 2 finally got underway, Aleks did a really great start, but after being pushed of the track in the first corner by one of the other competitors, we had to make a pit stop to fasten the hood, and check the car. Aleks came out last in the field, but set the second fastest lap time of the race!

In race 3, there where no action, Aleks came in to a 4th place again, after repairing the car after race 2.

-” Not the weekend we where hoping for, but thats racing, we are now preparing for the next GT4 race in Gothenburg in two weeks time”

ATS-Racing and Aleksander where followed by a TV crew at Rudskogen this weekend, and there are some exiting news about this coming soon!!
