Good start of the season!

It was a good start of the season for ATS-Racing and Aleksander last weekend.

The opening race found place at Vålerbanen racetrack, our home track, and it was all set for a thrilling weekend!

We started qualifying at saturday with a good strong pace, and managed to get a good second position for the first race. The track conditions on saturday was dry and between 15-20 degrees celsius. In Race 1 Aleks got of with a good start and defended his second place, after a few laps he even managed to get past the leader and up to 1st, after 12 laps, he crossed the line in 1st place, on his home track in front of over 70 ATS-Racing supporters!!! A great way to start the weekend, and the season!!

The next day it was all set for the final two races of the season, both 12 laps long. The conditions where changing between heavy rain and sunny hot weather.

Aleks started race two from second place, and after a good start, he defended his second place the whole race and crossed the line in second.

-” The car feels great, and we just need to push for the third and final race!”

Just before the third race got green, it started to rain, and all of the front runners, including us, changed to wet tires.

Aleks started from second on the grid, again, and after a good start, he and the first car pulled away a big gap on their wet tires. After a few laps the track dried up, and the front runner got passed by Aleks, in just a few laps Aleks pulled away from the rest of the field with wet tires on dry track.

In the end some of the cars behind on slicks closed in, but it was not enough, and Aleks crossed the line 1st again, and  brought home another victory!!

-“The best season opener we could imagined, on our home track in front of all our supporters and partners, its a really great way to begin our season. We are really looking foreword to continue, and hopefully we can bring home some more weekends like this”

-Our next race now is in two weeks time, 29-1 of june, at Mantorp Park. We are now preparing, and making everything ready to race in the Swedish GT Championship.
